Climate Change Isn't
Coming, It's Here

The Financial District and Seaport Climate Resilience Master Plan aims to build Lower Manhattan’s resilience to climate risks, including daily tides and coastal storms. We are developing a comprehensive plan to secure the future of the region.

Community Open House #1

In February 2020, we hosted an interactive open house that brought together students, community leaders, residents, and workers in the area with City agency representatives and urban planners, engineers, designers, and civil servants to have a conversation about the role of Lower Manhattan in the city and region, climate change and increasing flood risk, how the City is working to adapt Lower Manhattan, and what peoples’ priorities are for what the Climate Resilience Plan should achieve. We are using feedback gathered at this event to inform the project’s goals and process moving forward as we also continue integrating feedback gathered from other events and opportunities.
